Welcome to the official website for the Village of Granville, Ohio.

Granville is a quaint, New England-style community located in Licking County (east central Ohio) along the western edge of the Appalachian Plateau. It is the home of Denison University. The Village has a permanent population of 3200 and a total population of 5100 when the college students are in session.

A Celebration of Granville

The purpose of this website is to "Celebrate Granville" by providing information about the community, its amenities, and the services available within.

Information for Residents

For those who live in Granville or want to visit, there is a community calendar of events, a picture gallery of beautiful Granville images, a listing of Granville businesses and services , and other information about one of Ohio's Best Hometowns.

Granville residents will also find community news, public notices, schedules and agendas for upcoming Village meetings, local links to other Granville organizations, and a listing of employment opportunities with the Village.

Residents may also search meeting minutes, adopted legislation, and the Village Charter and Village Code; or sign up for the Village's Emergency Notification system to be notified of emergency situations that require immediate action.

There is also a form that a resident can email to the Village offices to report a problem that needs attention.

For new residents, there is an entire packet that provides information about Village services and where to sign up for utilities.

Information for Visitors

Visitors are encouraged to "Come for the Day and Stay the Night". To make a visit to Granville more enjoyable, there are links to the Granville Welcome Center, where you will find information about restaurants and food, lodging, places to see or visit, and things to do.
