Board of Zoning and Building Appeals
The Board of Zoning and Building Appeals (BZBA) is an appointed board that reviews and make decisions on applications for variances, conditional uses, and non-conforming uses under the Granville Zoning Code.
The BZBA is required by the Zoning Code to evaluate the applications on the basis of specific criteria that are outlined in the code. The criteria for variances, conditional uses, and non-conforming uses can be found in the Zoning Code under Sections 1147, 1145, and 1149, respectively.
Meeting Schedule
The BZBA meets once a month on the second Thursday of the month. Hearings are held in the Village Council Chambers, 141 East Broadway, at 7:00 p.m. Any application for a variance, conditional use, or non-conforming use must be submitted to the Village Planner at least 21 days before the next scheduled hearing. Applications must be complete and accompanied by the appropriate fee to be accepted.

The Village staff member who serves as the liaison to the BZBA is Alison Terry, Village Planner.
