| Description: |
Charming, New England-style community, home of Denison University, seeks an experienced professional to help advance Village goals and provide strategic management and planning for careful growth management. The Village celebrated its bicentennial in 2005 as a mature, independent community with a high quality of life, rich culture, and rural environment east of Columbus, Ohio. Population of approximately 3,800 residents. Extensive citizen involvement and interaction. A stable, home rule Council/Manager Charter. Appointed by non-partisan seven-member Village Council elected-at-large. Mayor elected from Council. $6.2M budget, good financial condition, excellent staff of fifty employees. |
| Compensation: |
Salary $75K - $95K (DOQ), plus fringe benefits |
| Minimum Requirements: |
Degree in related field, graduate degree desirable, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Solid strategic management and growth management experience as city manager or other responsible administrative position and familiar with protecting the historic district and perserving traditional hometown values. Experience with active, knowledgeable citizenry, high-quality service delivery. Skills in facilitating Council priorities and aligning work programs and budgets. A collaborator with neighboring jurisdictions and major institutions such as a university. Record of successful communications, intergovernmental relations, team building and staff development.

| Description: |
Granville Ambassadors are friendly, knowledgeable, and energetic representatives of the Granville community who work at the Granville Welcome Center. The purpose of an Ambassador is to extend a warm greeting to visitors, to answer questions and provide information in a friendly and helpful manner, and to assist the visitors in planning for their time in Granville Responsibilities of a Granville Ambassador include:

This is a volunteer, unpaid position. Granville Ambassadors are asked to volunteer at least two hours per month in the Granville Welcome Center. |
