ORDINANCE NO. 08-08

TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 20-07 TO PROVIDE FOR ADJUSTMENTS OF THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2008 AND TO REVISE SUMS FOR OPERATING EXPENSES

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.08 of Article II of the Charter of the Village of Granville, Ohio, the Village Council is authorized to adopt the Municipal Budget for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2008, and ending December 31, 2008, and;

WHEREAS, the Village Manager has recommended amendments to supplement previously approved appropriations for the purchase of TASER Electronic Control Devices for the Police Department; and

WHEREAS, the purchase of the TASER units will be mostly financed through private donations.

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Council of Granville, Ohio, that:

Section I: The annual budget of the Village of Granville, as established by Ordinance No. 20-07, is hereby amended by the Council to include the additional appropriations recommended by the Village Manager for the purchase of TASER Electronic Control Devices for the Police Department.

Section II: To provide for Operating Expenditures during the fiscal year ending December 31, 2008, the following additional appropriations are hereby made from the Supplies and Materials line item in the Police Department appropriation for the purchase of Taser Electronic Control Devices:

Section III: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage.
