ORDINANCE NO.  15-09

TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 17-08 PROVIDING FOR ADJUSTMENTS OF THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 2009 AND REVISING SUMS FOR OPERATING EXPENSES

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.08 of Article II of the Charter of the Village of Granville, Ohio, the Village Council is authorized to adopt the Municipal Budget for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2009 and ending December 31, 2009, and;

WHEREAS, the Village Manager has recommended appropriations to supplement previously made appropriations; and

WHEREAS, adjustments would be made to accommodate the following needs:

a. Administration: would add $7,000 to the appropriation related to unemployment claims because of an unusually high number of claims being filed this year; 

b. Mayor's Court: would add $7,300 to the appropriation for health insurance payments because an employee who previously did not participate in the health insurance program is now enrolled because of a change in status; 

c. FEMA Fund Transfer: would change the appropriation related to the reimbursement from FEMA for the storm-related expenditures of September 2008 to reflect an increased reimbursement amount received from FEMA; and

d. Water Fund: would appropriate $15,000 for driveway modifications and the construction of a fence around the sludge lagoons at the Water Treatment plant.  

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Council of Granville, Ohio, that:

Section I:  The annual budget of the Village of Granville, as established by Ordinance No. 17-08, be amended by the Council, as recommended by the Manager, and is hereby adopted.

Section II:  To provide for Operating Expenditures during the fiscal year ending December 31, 2009, the following additional appropriations are hereby made to the following funds:
