ORDINANCE NO. 17-09

AN ORDINANCE TO PERMIT THE DEMOLITION OF SINGLE-STORY DETACHED STRUCTURE AT 332 NORTH GRANGER STREET

WHEREAS, the Village of Granville adopted Chapter 1162 of the Granville Zoning Code in order to protect the aesthetic quality of the community and protect the significant viewsheds and corridors, and;

WHEREAS, upon review of the request for demolition, the Village of Granville finds that the demolition of this single-story detached garage structure would in no way diminish the quality of life for the community and its residents.

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Council of Granville, Ohio, that:

Section I: The Village of Granville authorizes the demolition of a single-story detached garage structure located on the property at 332 North Granger Street, which is identified in Exhibit A that is attached hereto.

Section II: In accordance with Section 1162.05 of the Codified Ordinances, the applicant shall furnish a surety bond in the amount of $6,600 to guarantee the approved demolition. Any future construction plans or landscaping that has not been commenced in a time period deemed sufficient by the Village Manager will result in the forfeiture of the surety bond.   

Section III: This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
