RESOLUTION NO. 08-27

TO EXPRESS APPRECIATION TO CHIP BLANCHARD FOR SERVICE ON THE GRANVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION

WHEREAS, Chip Blanchard served as a member of the Granville Planning Commission from November 1, 2006 to December 31, 2007; and

WHEREAS, during that year of service, Chip gave faithfully of his time, talents and resources to help maintain a community standard that is apparent to both residents and visitors of the community; and

WHEREAS, Chip’s experience in planning and development and his strong dedication to preserving the historic and architectural value of this community have been an invaluable asset to both the Planning Commission and the Village Staff; and

WHEREAS, Chip played a vital role in maintaining the New England charm of Granville and enhancing the health, safety and general welfare of the people that live and work within the Village boundaries.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that:

Section 1. On behalf of the citizens of the Village of Granville and the Granville Planning Commission, the Village Council hereby extends its gratitude and appreciation to Chip Blanchard for all that he has done to preserve and enhance our community while serving on the Granville Planning Commission.

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage.
