RESOLUTION NO. 08-44

A RESOLUTION TO RATIFY THE DECISION BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL TO REVIEW THE GRANVILLE PLANNING COMMISSION’S DECISION TO APPROVE AN INTERNALLY ILLUMINATED WALL SIGN FOR THE CERTIFIED OIL COMPANY, 466 SOUTH MAIN STREET 

WHEREAS, the Granville Planning Commission, on October 27, 2008, approved an internally-illuminated wall sign for the Certified Oil Company, 466 South Main Street, that was a part of Application No. 08-140; and

WHEREAS, the approval of the internal illumination could be contrary to the provisions of Section 1189.05 of the Granville Code of Ordinances; and

WHEREAS, Section 1133.03 of the Granville Code of Ordinances authorizes the Council to initiate a review of a decision made by the Granville Planning Commission; and

WHEREAS, the Village Council, at its meeting on November 5, 2008, voted to initiate a review of the decision by the Granville Planning Commission to approve an internally-illuminated wall sign for the Certified Oil Company.  
 
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Council of the Village of Granville, Ohio, that:

Section 1. The Village Council hereby ratifies its decision of November 5, 2008 to review the decision by the Granville Planning Commission on October 27, 2008 to approve an internally-illuminated wall sign for the Certified Oil Company, 466 South Main Street, that was a part of Application No. 08-140.

Section 2. The review shall be limited to the approval of the internal illumination for the sign.

Section 3: This resolution shall take effect and be in full force immediately upon passage.
