RESOLUTION NO. 08-45
A RESOLUTION TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 08-39, WHICH EXPRESSED THE VILLAGE’S INTENT TO JOIN THE GRANVILLE RECREATION DISTRICT, BY ADOPTING A REVISED EXHIBIT B
WHEREAS, the Village Council, on October 1, 2008, adopted Resolution No. 08-39, which expressed the Village’s intent to join the Granville Recreation District; and
WHEREAS, at the time that the Village Council adopted Resolution No. 08-39, the Granville Exempted Village School District had already passed a similar resolution but the Granville Township Trustees had yet to approve a resolution for the Township; and
WHEREAS, when the Board of Trustees for Granville Township adopted a similar resolution, the Board changed the language in Exhibit B, which outlined the contributions that the Township would make to the proposed Joint Recreation District; and
WHEREAS, the items listed in the two versions of Exhibit B are the same, but the amended Exhibit B provides some additional clarification related to the contributions that the Township would make; and
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 08-39 was adopted with the contingency in Section 1 that “similar, mirror image” resolutions would have to be passed by each of the three entities (the Township, the School District, and the Village).
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Council of the Village Granville, Ohio, that:
Section 1. The exhibit entitled “Exhibit B Amended November 19, 2008”, which is attached hereto is hereby approved as the new exhibit B for Resolution No. 08-39, which was approved by the Village Council on October 1, 2008.
Section 2. Resolution No. 08-39 is hereby amended to include “Exhibit B Amended November 19, 2008” in place of the original “Exhibit B” that was approved on October 1, 2008.
Section 3. The remaining provisions of Resolution No. 08-39 shall be unaffected by this amendment and shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 4: This resolution shall take effect and be in full force immediately upon passage.
