RESOLUTION NO. 08-49

TO EXPRESS APPRECIATION TO JIM SIEGEL FOR SERVICE ON THE TREE AND LANDSCAPE COMMISSION

WHEREAS, Jim Siegel served as a member and chair of the Tree & Landscape Commission for more than twenty-five years; and

WHEREAS, during those years of service, Jim gave faithfully of his time, talents and resources to help develop and build the Tree and Landscape Commission; and

WHEREAS, Jim’s strong dedication to preserving the trees and landscape of this community have been an invaluable asset to both the Tree and Landscape Commission and the Village Staff; and

WHEREAS, Jim played a vital role in maintaining the New England charm of Granville and enhancing the beauty of the Village; and

WHEREAS, Jim’s efforts as part of the Tree and Landscape Commission helped achieve the Village’s status as a Tree City USA and Growth Award winner.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that:

Section 1. On behalf of the citizens of the Village of Granville and the Tree and Landscape Commission, the Village Council hereby extends its gratitude and appreciation to Jim Siegel for all that he has done to preserve and enhance our community while serving on the Tree and Landscape Commission.

Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage.
