RESOLUTION NO. 08-50

A RESOLUTION TO ESTABLISH THE ANNUAL COMPENSATION ADJUSTMENT FOR FISCAL YEAR 2009

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF GRANVILLE, OHIO, that:

Section 1.  The current minimum and maximum amount for each pay grade shall be adjusted by 3%. The new rates for each pay grade after such adjustment shall be as provided in Attachment A.  

Section 2.  Employees in Pay Grades A-J shall be eligible for an increase of up to 3%. Adjustments shall be subject to the maximum rate established for each pay grade.  The Village Manager may adjust salaries of individual employees in percentage amounts greater than the amounts established in this Section 2, but within the described minimum and maximum limitations for the classification, provided adequate funds are budgeted for such salaries as so adjusted.

Section 3.  Each position shall be assigned to the pay grade as specified in Attachment A.

Section 4.  The compensation for the Village Manager shall also be increased by 3%.

Section 5. The Village Manager shall research alternative pay systems for non-bargaining unit employees and shall draft a new pay system for the Council’s consideration by June 1, 2009

Section 6.  This resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage.
