RESOLUTION NO. 2010-09
 
A RESOLUTION TO EXPRESS THE COUNCIL’S INTENTION TO WAIVE ANY FUTURE SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS FOR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS AGAINST PARCEL NUMBER 019-048618-00.000 THAT IS OWNED BY GRANVILLE TOWNSHIP  

 
WHEREAS, Parcel Number 019-048618-00.000, which is highlighted on Exhibit A and which will be hereinafter referred to as the “Township Triangle Property”, is owned by Granville Township and is currently located outside of the Village’s corporate limits; and
 
WHEREAS, parcels adjacent to the Township Triangle Parcel are anticipated to be annexed to the Village as part of the Mill District Development; and
 
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of Granville Township has expressed its support for the annexation of the Township Triangle Property to the Village provided that special assessments are not levied against the parcel for future infrastructure improvements; and
 
WHEREAS, the Township Triangle Property, because of its size and location, is effectively unbuildable as an independent lot.
 
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Granville, Ohio that:
 
Section 1. In consideration of the possible annexation of Parcel Number 019-048618-00.000, also know as the Township Triangle Parcel, to the Village of Granville, the Village Council, subject to Section 2 below, hereby expresses its intention to waive any future special assessments for infrastructure improvements that might otherwise be levied against the parcel provided that the property remains in the ownership of the Granville Board of Township Trustees and remains undeveloped.
 
Section 2. The waiver expressed in Section 1 is based upon the recognition that the parcel, as an independent lot, is effectively unbuildable in accordance with current zoning setback and lot coverage restrictions.    
 
Section 3: This resolution shall take effect and be in full force immediately upon passage.
