RESOLUTION NO. 2010-10
A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO SIGN A PETITION OF ANNEXATION TO INCLUDE PARCELS NUMBER 019-043590-01.000 AND 019-043590-02.000 THAT ARE OWNED BY THE VILLAGE AND LOCATED ON SOUTH LANCASTER ROAD
WHEREAS, the Village Council, through the adoption of Ordinance No. 14-09 on November 18, 2009, authorized the Village Manager to enter into an annexation agreement to annex certain real properties located along Lancaster Road in Granville Township owned by Mill District, LLC and 1919 Lancaster Road, LLC; and
WHEREAS, those properties are not within the corporate limits of any municipality but will be contiguous to the corporate limits of the Village once other certain properties owned by the Kiwanis Club of Granville (Tax Parcels Number 019-044682-00.000 and 019-043590-00.000) and the Village of Granville (Tax Parcels Number 019-043590-01.000 and 019-043590-02.000) have been annexed along with the properties owned by Mill District, LLC and 1919 Lancaster Road, LLC; and
WHEREAS, an Expedited Type II Petition has been prepared for the annexation of 10.2 acres, more or less, to the Village of Granville in accordance with the annexation agreement approved by Ordinance No. 14-09.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE RESOLVED by the Council of the Village of Granville, Ohio that:
Section 1. The Village Manager is hereby authorized to sign the Expedited Type II Petition, in accordance with the annexation agreement that was approved by the Village Council through the adoption of Ordinance No. 14-09, that would include the annexation of Tax Parcels Number 019-043590-01.000 and 019-043590-02.000 that are owned by the Village.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect and be in full force immediately upon passage.
