RESOLUTION 2010-20

A RESOLUTION TO AWARD THE CONTRACT FOR THE 2010 COLLEGE STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT TO LAYTON EXCAVATING INC. , AS PER SPECIFICATIONS, AND AUTHORIZE THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT THEREFOR

WHEREAS, the Village of Granville has received proposals from companies interested in providing the services required for the 2010 College Street improvement project; and

WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has reviewed the proposals that were submitted and has determined that the lowest and responsible bidder for the project is Layton Excavating Inc.; and 

WHEREAS, the Village Engineer has also concluded that Layton Excavating Inc. has the ability, the resources, and the experience to properly complete the project and has recommended that the contract for the 2010 College Street improvement project be awarded to Layton Excavating Inc.

NOW THEREFORE, be It resolved by the Council of Granville, Ohio that:

Section I: The contract for the 2010 College Street improvement project, as per specifications, is hereby awarded to Layton Excavating Inc. in the approximate amount of $785,3000.38. 

Section II: The Village Manager is hereby authorized on behalf of the Village of Granville to enter into an agreement with Law General Contracting for the 2010 College Street improvement project, as included in the base bid. 

Section III: This resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage.
