Mayor Gallant called the meeting to order at 7: 30 p.m..

Councilmember Avery moved to excuse absentee members Miller and Schnaidt, and;
Law Director Drake. Motion seconded by Councilmember Harriott. Motion carried.
PUBLIC HEARINGS
The following public hearings were held this evening:
Proposed 1984 County Tax Budget
No one appeared to speak for or against the proposed Public 1984 County Tax Budget. hearing closed at 7:32 p.m.w, ith action held for Old Business, p(lease see Resolution No. 83-27).
Revenue Sharing Planned Uses -Entitlement Period 15
No one appeared this evening to make oral requests for Revenue Sharing Funds/ Entitlement Period 15. Written requests were submitted to the Village Manager from the Granville Recreation Commission: 3$,000, and an additional $1,500 for improvements to Wildwood Park, and; from the Granville Fellowship: a total amount of $3,900 to cover rent at the Sinnett House 1$,800, and $2,100 for the utilities. No other written requests were submitted. Public hearing closed at 7: 34 p.m..

No one appeared to speak for or against Ordinance No. 188-3. Public hearing closed at 7: 36 p.m.,with action held for Old Business.

June 15, 1983 -Regular Council Meeting -Vice Mayor Davison moved to the approve minutes as corrected. Motion seconded by Councilmember Harriott. Motion
carried.
June 22, 1983 -Special Council Meeting -Councilmember Avery moved to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion seconded by Councilmember Bartlett. Motion carried.
June 22, 1983 -Council Worksession -Councilmember Harriott moved to approve the minutes as submitted.- Motion seconded by Councilmember Bartlett. Motion carried.

Mr. David 0. Woodyard, 543 Mt. Parnassus, appeared this evening to thank Council and employees for the quality of support given to the DenisonG/ ranville Peace Fellowship in their efforts to prepare an initative petition calling for an end to the: nuclear arms race. Mr. Woodyard stated further that several members of Council voiced their support of an initative petition to place the issue on the November ballot. Mr. Woodyard had the petition in hand and commented that he' d be pleased if anyone would like to sign now. Ms. Bartlett stepped up and signed the petition as well as Mr. Avery. Mr. Woodyard said the group would be seeking signatures for approximately one month to obtain the needed 15%of the voting residents.
No other citizens comments were made at this time.

Manager Plunkett stated that Mr. Chambers requested permission to remove the grassed area between the sidewalk and street along the S. Main Street area, to the side of the future park, to allow for better maintenance. No objections were made on the request.
Streets &Sidewalks Committee -Mayor Gallant stated that no further contact has been made with the residents of Beechwood and Thornewood Drives. Chair- omnanthHisarrmioattttehra.s requested that a worksession be scheduled in the near future

Manager Plunkett reported that he delivered the final punch list to Mr. Price
on items to be completed by him with regards to the Hilengreen project. He
said Mr. Price indicated a willingness to comply with most of the items on
the list but would refuse to repave Welsh Hills Road. Mr. Plunkett stated
that he only wants the road to be restored to its original condition before
Mr. Price began construction of Hilengreen Subdivision, and hoped that he
had Council' s support on the matter.
Mr. Plunkett also mentioned that he is meeting with the County Engineer to check out the structure of the bridge on Welsh Hills Road.
OLD BUSINESS
Resolution No. 83-27, "A Resolution To Adopt The 1984 County Tax Budget As
Proposed And To Direct The Village Manager To Submit It To The County Auditor",
was introduced and read in its entirety by Vice Mayor Davison.
Vice Mayor Davison moved for passage of Resolution No. 83-27. Motion
seconded by Councilmember Harriott. Motion carried. Resolution duly No. 83-27 passed.

Other Old and/ or New Business
Junior Class/ Block Party Request
Manager Plunkett asked members present if they had made a decision on the request
submitted by Ms. Jane C. Lowe, Advisor to the Class of '85, with regards
to the Junior Class holding a block party this August.
During a brief discussion members expressed no objection to the Manager
allowing the Junior Class to hold their block party this August. A copy of that
letter is hereby attached as part of these minutes.
Village Hall Renovation
Manager Plunkett sadly announced to members that the Village will not be receiving
a grant from the Ohio Historical Preservation, for the renovation of Village
Hall. He said there were 375 applicants requesting these funds..
MEETING ANNOUNCEMENTS
Councilmember Harriott suggested that the Streets &Sidewalks Committee and
others meet in a Worksession this month to discuss Beechwood/ Thornewood Drives
Improvement, and; that property owners in the BeechwoodT/hornewood (Village & Township) area, and Edgewood (Township) be sent letters inviting them to attend the meeting, as well as the Township Trustees.
During discussion, Mr. Harriott did suggest that all information be in before residents were notified of the meeting.
To allow for enough time to gather all information needed, the meeting was Cschhaemdbuelersd. for July 27, 1983, at 7: 30 p.m..The meeting will be held in Council
