CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Gallant called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m..
Councilmember Rader moved that Shirley Robertson be appointed Temporary Clerk.
Motion seconded by Councilmember Garrett. Motion carri ed.

January 16, 1985 -Regular Council Meeting -Councilmember Avery moved that the
minutes be approved as written. Motion seconded by Councilmember Rader. Motion

Dan Douglas, newly appointed Superintendent of Granville Schools, expressed his
appreciation to the Village Manager and Council for their warm welcome to the
community. He stated that he is looking forward to his new position and living in Granville.
Opera House Park Improvement Committee -Vice Mayor Davi son reported· that the" Committee would like to meet with Council before final plans for thew,heel chair
ramp and sidewalk to the new entrance to Village Hall have been approved. It was suggested that the Committee receive a copy of the building code requirements: in regards to the ramp. A meeting with the Committee was set for March 6, 1985 Discussion of the installation of fencing in the park was also discussed.- Due to maintenance costs, Council was not in favor of the fence project.
Safety and Heal th Committee -Councilmember Sthnaidt reported that the Committee had met and would like to have a weather warning signal installed to alert_

citizens of tornados etc..The new warning signal would be located near Denison' s
Physical Plant. Legislation will be introduced this evening to appropriate
monies for the purchase and installation of the signal.
Streets and Sidewalks Committee - A worksession has been scheduled for this evening
immediately following tonight' s Council Meeting to discuss the parking situation
in Granville and possible solutions.

Ordinance No. 1-85, " An Ordinance To Amend Ordinance No. 14- 84 By Setting The
Rates For Industrial Discharges Into The Village Sewage System"w,as introduced and title read in its entirety by Vice Mayor Davison. A public hearing was
set at this time for February 20, 1985, at 7:30 p.m..
Ordinance No. 2-85, " An Ordinance To Amend Ordinance No. 36-84 And Appropriate
Funds For Capital Expenditures In The General Fund"w,as introduced and title
read: in its enti rety by Councilmember Schnaidt. A public hearing was set at this time for February 20, 1985, at 7:30 p.m..
February 6, 1985 -Council Worksession -Following the Council Meeting
The meeting was adjourned following a motion by Councilmember Rader and seconded by Councilmember Avery. Motion carried.
