SPECIAL ORGANIZATIONAL COUNCIL MEETING
VILLAGE OF GRANVILLE
DECEMBER 1, 1989
Law Director Munro convened the meeting at 7: 30 a.m..
Ms. Munro said the following persons have been elected members of
Council for a four year term:
Arnold J. Eisenberg, Anne Roberts Ormond, and Peter L. Marshall.

Ms. Munro administered the oath of office to each of the newly
elected members of Council separately.
APPOINTMENT OF CLERK
Councilmember Eisenberg moved that Catherine M. Miller be
appointed as Clerk of Council for a two-year term. Motion
seconded by Councilmember Morrow. Motion carried.
Ms. Munro administered the oath of office to Catherine M. Miller.

Councilmember Rader
Councilmember Hughes
Councilmember Ormond
Councilmember Marshall

No comments were voiced at this time.
ELECTION OF MAYOR
Councilmember Eisenberg
Councilmember Morrow
Law Director Munro
Manager Plunkett
Councilmember Rader moved the nomination of C. Arthur Morrow as
Mayor. Councilmember Morrow declined the nomination.
Councilmember Hughes moved the nomination of Arnold J. Eisenberg
as Mayor. Motion seconded by Councilmember Malcuit. Motion to
close nominations was made by Councilmember Hughes, seconded by
Councilmember Rader. Motion carried.
Law Director Munro administered the oath of office to Arnold
J. Eisenberg as Mayor for a two-year term.
ELECTION OF VICE MAYOR
Councilmember Malcuit moved the nomination of C. Arthur Morrow as
Vice Mayor. Motion seconded by Councilmember Hughes.
Councilmember Marshall moved the nomination of Benjamin W. Rader
as Vice Mayor. Motion seconded by Councilmember Ormond.

Councilmember Hughes moved that the nominations be closed. Motion
seconded by Councilmember Malcuit.
Ballots were distributed among members. The Clerk collected
and counted the votes. Six votes for Councilmember Morrow as Vice
Mayor. One vote for Councilmember Rader.
Law Director Munro administered the oath of office to C.
Arthur Morrow as Vice Mayor for a two-year term.
Mayor Eisenberg thanked members for their vote of confidence and
commented that the next few years will be exciting and
challenging.
MEETING ANNOUNCEMENTS
Vice Mayor Morrow reminded members of the Comprehensive Planning
Town Meeting to be held at the High School cafeteria, Tuesday,
December 5, at 7: 00 p.m..
Vice Mayor Morrow moved for adjournment. Motion seconded by
Councilmember Malcuit. Motion carried.
Meeting adjourned at 7: 50 a.m..
