No one appeared to speak for or against Ordinance No. 1-93. Action on the ordinance was held for old business.
Ordinance No. 2-93 -An Ordinance Granting The Director Of Transportation Authority To Maintain State Highways, Apply Sfandard Longitudinal Pavement Markings And Erect Regulatory And Warning Signs On State Highways Inside Village Corporation. Giving Consent Of The Village To The Plowing Of Snow And Use Of Abrasives For Ice Control Under The Supervision Of The Director Of Transportation, State Of Ohio.

Kimberly Salvage appeared at the meeting to seek information
concerning sidewalks to Fernhill. Councilmember Vance stated that
he is in the process of obtaining a list of areas that are in
need of sidewalks. As soon as that information is obtained the
Streets and Sidewalks Committee will develop a priority begin replacing list to as well as putting in new sidewalks. Until that
list is acquired, projects will begin in order of priority.
Manager Plunkett stated the 1993 budget has more money reserved
for sidewalks.
JIM ROBERTS. NEWARK CITY ENGINEER
Mr. Roberts was present to seek council' s opinion on a turn lane at Cherry Valley Road to make traffic flow smoother with the opening of the new Cherry Valley Lodge. Mr. Roberts noted that the article printed in the Advocate may have given some people the impression that the City of Newark and Granville had struck a deal for funding of the project. Newark City Council gave Mr. Roberts permission to negotiate with all parties involved, but nothing has been yet determined. Granville Council stated that they would agree to helping the funding of the turn lane if in return the City of Newark would allow Granville to use their existing sanitary sewers for Granville properties south of SR16 along Cherry Valley Road.
Mr. Roberts will report to Newark City Council that Gforranville is willing to help them with the project in exchange sewer access.

COMMITTEE REPORTS
Councilmember Shulman reported on the February 1, 1993 Planning Commission meeting. At that meeting one architectural review was tabled, a sign was granted, and a discussion concerning the Antique Shop sign was held. The sign code is a major problem trhigehmt atntoewr oanudt.the Planning Commission would like to straighten

Ordinance No. 1-93, "An Ordinance Amending The Granville Zoning

District-A,"was reintroduced, title adoption read, and moved for by Vice Mayor Marshall. Seconded by Councilmember
Freytag. Following a brief discussion a roll call vote was taken: Hermany-es, Shulmann-o, GarrettN-o, Vance- yes, Freytag- yes, Marshally-es, Mayor Eisenbergy-es. Five yes votes. Two No votes. Motion carried. Ordinance No. 1-93 was adopted.

Liquor License

Ordinance No. 3-93 "An Ordinance To Amend Section 921.07 Of The
Codified Ordinances Of Granville, Ohio Establishing Sewer
Regulations And Charges And To Repeal Existing Section 921.07 Of
Said Codified Ordinances And Declaring An Emergencyw,"as introduced and title read by Councilmember Shulman. Seconded by
Councilmember Freytag.
Mr. Shulman then moved for the adoption of Section IV, the
emergency clause, and read this section in its entirety. Motion seconded by Councilmember Freytag. Roll call vote: Shulman- yes,
Garretty-es, Hermany-es, Vancen-o, Freytagy-es, Marshally-es, Mayor Eisenberg- yes. Six yes votes, One no vote. Emergency
Clause Section IV of Ordinance No. 3-93 adopted.
Councilmember Shulman moved for the adoption of Ordinance No. 3-93. Motion seconded by Councilmember Garrett. Roll call vote: Shulmany-es, Garrett- yes, hermany-es, Vancen-o, Freytag- yes, Marshally-es, Mayor Eisenbergy-es. Six yes votes, one no vote. Motion carried. Ordinance No. 3-93 was adopted.
Resolution No. 935- , A" Resolution Of Appreciation To Barbara McMath Martin,w"as introduced, read in full and moved for adoption by Councilmember Herman Motion seconded by Councilmember Garrett. Resolution No. 93-5 was adopted.
Resolution No. 936- , A" Resolution Authorizing The Village Manager To File An Application And Enter Into An Agreement With The Ohio Department Of Natural Resources For The Purpose Of Acquiring Funds Through The Division Of Forestry' s urban Forestry Assistance Program,"was introduced, read in full and moved for adoption by Vice Mayor Marshall. Motion seconded by Councilmember Freytag. Resolution 93-7 was adopted.
Resolution No. 937- , A" Resolution To Modify Granville' s Lease Agreement With the Granville Volunteer Fire Department, Concerning The Leasing Of The Fire Station Building Located At 133 North Prospect Street For the Remainder Of the Term And Naming The Village Of Granville As An Additional Insured On Liability Insurance Policies,w"as introduced, read in full and moved for adoption by Councilmember Freytag. Seconded by Councilmember Herman. Resolution No. 93-7 was adopted.
