AN ORDINANCE TO RESCIND ORDINANCE NO. 14-80 AND ESTABLISH THE
MANAGER' S SALARY EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 27, 1980, FOR THE BALANCE
OF 1980 AND DECLARING THE EXISTENCE OF AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, Article II, Section 2. 08 of the Charter of the Village
of Granville, Ohio, provides that Council shall fix the salary the Village of Manager by Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 14-80 established the salary of the
Interim Village Manager and was effective only so long as Mr. Sargent remained as the Village Manager.
NOW, THEREFORE, Be It Ordained By The Council Of Granville, Ohio, that:

That Ordinance No. 14-80 be
rescioded effective November 11, 1980.
The salary of the newly appointed
manager, Douglas E. Plunkett, shall
be computed for the balance of 1980
from an annual rate of $22, 000
beginning October 27, 1980.
This ordinance is hereby declared
to be an emergency measure in order
that the newly appointed manager may be compensated at the beginning of
his employment and that employment
of a Village Manager is necessary so that the on-going affairs of the
Village may be immediately directed
and supervised to insure the preser- vation of the public health and welfare.
This ordinance shall be in effect at
date of passage.
