AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 20-80 AND
APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR CAPITAL EXPENDITURES IN
THE WASTE WATER COLLECTION FUND AND DECLARING
Providing For Adjustments Of The Annual Budget For The Fiscal Year 1981 And To Provide Sums To Meet Current Obligations A Probable Arising From Sanitary Sewer Collapse On South Pearl Street, And The Need To Excavate And Repair Said Sanitary Sewer.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2. 08 of Article II of the Charter of the Village of Granville, Ohio, the
Village Council is authorized to adopt the Municipal Budget for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1981 and ending December 31, 1981, and;
WHEREAS, such a budget has been adopted for the fiscal year 1981 but did not include provisions for expenditures for sums hereafter indicated, and;
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 5. 05 of
Article I of the of the Charter of the Village of Granville, Ohio, the Village Council is authorized to make purchases in any amount
on the open market withdut competition, in the case of a public disaster, and;
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 81-13, a public disaster has been declared to exist, and;
WHEREAS, a probable collapse of the sanitary sewer on South Pearl Street has been indicated, and;
WHEREAS, such a collapse could cause a public health
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF GRANVILLE,
The sum of $10, 000 be and hereby is
appropriated to Account 63-6, in the
Waste Water Collection Fund to provide
for excavation and repair of
the South Pearl Street Sanitary Sewer.
II: This ordinance is hereby declared to
be an emergency measure necessary for
the preservation of the public peace, safety, and welfare, and for the
further reason that the appropriation
of these funds is necessary for the
Village to meet its obligations.

This ordinance shall be in effect at
date of passage.
