AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 36-84 AND APPROPRIATE FUNDS FOR
CAPITAL EXPENDITURES IN THE GENERAL FUND AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Providing For Adjustments Of The Annual Budget For The Fiscal Year 1985 And To
Provide Sums To Meet Current Obligations Arising From The Temporary Repairs to The Storm Sewer System.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2. 08 Of Article II of the Charter
of the Village of Granville, Ohio, the Village Council is authorized to adopt the Municipal Budget for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 1985 and ending
December 31, 1985, and;
WHEREAS, such a budget has been adopted for the fiscal year 1985 but did not include provisions for expenditures for sums hereafter indicated, and;
WHEREAS, the storm sewer serving the east end of the Village has deteriorated,
and temporary repairs are immediately necessary.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Council of Granville, Ohio, that:
Section I: The sum of $20,000 be and hereby is appropriated to Account Al-6-D-250 entitled "Capital Outlay/ Storm
Sewers", in the General Fund to provide for temporary
repairs to the storm sewer system.
Section II: This ordinance is declared' to be an emergency measure
necessary for the immediate preservation of the public
peace, safety, health, morals and welfare of this
Village, and for the further reason that immediate
steps are necessary to provide for the safety of the
residents of the Village; and provided this ordinance
receives the affirmative vote of five members elected
or appointed to Council, it shall be in full force
and effect on the earliest date permitted by the Charter of the Village.
