AN ORDINANCE TO CREATE A PERMISSIVE TAX FUND AND AMEND
ORDINANCE NO. 36-84 APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR OPERATING
EXPENSES IN THE PERMISSIVE TAX FUND AND DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY.
There Is Hereby Created A Permissive Tax Fund B8, Which Is To
Consist Of Monies Collected By Licking County And Distributed To
The Village Of Granville Upon Its Request To Be Used For The
Purpose Of Paying For Road Improvements Where Appropriate.
Providing For Adjustments Of The Annual Budget For The Fiscal
Year 1985 And To Provide Sums To Meet Current Obligations
Arising From The Repaving Of Roads In The Permissive Tax Fund.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2. 08 of Article
II of the Charter of the Village of Granville, Ohio, the Village
Council is authorized to adopt the Municipal Budget for the
fiscal year beginning January 1, 1985 and ending December 31,
1985, and;
WHEREAS, such a budget has been adopted for the fiscal year 1985
but did not include provisions for expenditures for sums hereafter;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Council of Granville,
Ohio, that:
Section I: The sum of $18, 915, be and hereby is appropriated
to Account No. B8-6-B-250, in the Permissive Tax
Fund.
Section II:, This ordinance is declared to be an emergency
measure necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public health and safety of this Village,
and for the further purpose of paying for road
improvements in the Village; and provided this
ordinance receives the affirmative vote of five
members elected or appointed to Council, it shall
be in full force and effect on the earliest date
permitted by the Charter of the Village.
