WHEREAS, on November 4, 1998, Granville Village Council adopted Ordinance No. 23-98, An Ordinance To Amend Sections 301.38, 301.44 Through 301.53, 303.99, 305.02, And 339.02, And To Enact Section 331.44 Of The Codified Ordinances Of The Village Of Granville, Ohio, To Provide Uniform Regulation To Truck Traffic In The Village Of Granville; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 23-98 would, in its ordinary course, become effective on December 4, 1998; and,
WHEREAS, Granville Village Council has determined it to be in the best interest of the citizens of Granville that Ordinance No. 23-98 not become effective until January 12, 1999.
NOW, THERFORE, be it ordained by the Council of the Village of Granville, State of Ohio, that:
Section I: The effective date of Ordinance No. 23-98 shall be January 12, 1999. Section II: This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of the Municipality and its inhabitants. Wherefore, this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and immediately upon passage.
