AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 14-2015 PROVIDING FOR ADJUSTMENTS OF THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2016 AND REVISING SUMS FOR OPERATING EXPENSES

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.08 of Article II of the Charter of the Village of Granville, Ohio, the Village Council is authorized to adopt the municipal budget for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2016 and ending December 31, 2016, and;

WHEREAS, the Village Manager has recommended appropriations to supplement previously made appropriations; and

WHEREAS, adjustments would be made to accommodate the following needs:

  1. General Fund:
    • $19,100 – Police FOP Negotiations
    • $9,400 – Administration Sick Leave Payout
    • $12,500 – Administration Village Manager Search (1/2)
    • $12,500 – Legislative Village Manager Search (1/2)
    • $10,600 – Mayor’s Court – Sick Leave Payout
    • $12,000 – Mayor’s Court – Software & Computer
    • $12,000 – Lands & Buildings – Cherry Valley Interchange Fence
  2. Water Fund:
    • $8,800 – Water Production – FT Billing Clerk (1/2)
  3. Waste Water Fund:
    • $8,800 – Waste Water Collection – FT Billing Clerk (1/2)

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Council of Granville, Ohio that: 

Section I: The annual budget of the Village of Granville, as established by Ordinance No.14-2015, be amended by the Council, as recommended by the Finance Director, and is hereby adopted. 

Section II: To provide for operating expenditures during the fiscal year ending December 31, 2016, the following additional appropriations are hereby made to the following funds:

E1-5-E-212 Benefits $7,600

Section III: This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force upon the earliest date allowed by law.
