ORDINANCE NO. 06-2016

AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 14-2015 PROVIDING FOR ADJUSTMENTS OF THE ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2016 AND REVISING SUMS FOR OPERATING EXPENSES

WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.08 of Article II of the Charter of the Village of Granville, Ohio, the Village Council is authorized to adopt the municipal budget for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2016 and ending December 31, 2016, and;

WHEREAS, the Village Manager has recommended appropriations to supplement previously made appropriations; and

WHEREAS, adjustments would be made to accommodate the following needs:

  1. General Fund:
    • $10,000 – Police Overtime
    • $21,100 – Manager Salaries & Wages
    • $5,400 – Manager Benefits
    • $5,400 – Manager Benefits
    • $600 – PT Clerk Benefits
    • $8,000 – Manager Search & Moving Expenses
    • $5,200 – Mayor’s Court Insurance Benefits
    • $10,000 – Income Tax Refunds
    • $8,700 – Street Department Sick & Vacation Payout
    • $25,000 – Storm Sewer Engineering
    • $105,000 – Countdown Lights
    • $16,000 – Engineering for Countdown Lights
  2. Waste Water Fund:
    • $78,000 – Miscellaneous Capital Projects
    • $6,500 – MXU Meters
    • $25,000 – Utility Billing Software
  3. Waste Water Fund:
    • $78,000 – Miscellaneous Capital Projects
    • $6,500 – MXU Meters
    • $25,000 – Utility Billing Software

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Council of Granville, Ohio that:

Section I: The annual budget of the Village of Granville, as established by Ordinance No.14-2015, be amended by the Council, as recommended by the Finance Director, and is hereby adopted.

Section II: To provide for operating expenditures during the fiscal year ending December 31, 2016, the following additional appropriations are hereby made to the following funds:

Section III: This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force upon the earliest date allowed by law.
