The Granville Village Council adopted the following legislation at the January 18, 2017 regular meeting:
Ordinance No. 01-2017, An ordinance to Extend the Minor Amendment to the Site Development Plan for Spring Hills Baptist Church for the Granville Christian Academy
This resolution permits Granville Christian Academy to extend the time period for a modular unit to remain on Spring Hills Baptist Church property for another three years. Spring Hills Baptist Church, located at 1820 Newark-Granville Road, submitted a request to extend the minor amendment to their Final Development Plan, under Application #2016-128, to allow for an extension of the previously approved modification to the Final Development Plan to add a modular classroom unit located to the rear of the existing church/Granville Christian Academy for a three-year period.
Resolution No. 2017-05, A Resolution to Express Appreciation to Bradley Smith for Service on the Board of Zoning and Building Appeals
This resolution expresses the Village Council’s appreciation for Bradley Smith’s service on the Board of Zoning and Building Appeals. Mr. Smith served from February 18, 2009 until January 31, 2017
Resolution No. 2017-06, A Resolution to (Re)Appoint Members to the Board of Zoning and Building Appeals
This resolution reappoints Jeff Gill and Kenneth Kemper to the BZBA and appoints Rob Rhodes as members to the BZBA. Their current terms expire January 31, 2017. Their new terms expire on January 31, 2020.
Resolution No. 2017-07, A Resolution to (Re)Appoint Members to the Granville Planning Commission
This resolution reappoint s Bill Wilken to the Granville Planning Commission. His current term expire January 31, 2017. His new term expires on January 31, 2020. Council also appointed Carl Jennings to complete the term ending January 31, 2019 of Doug Eklof, who resigned from the Commission in June, 2016. This resolution also appoints Vice Mayor Rob Montgomery as the ex-officio Council representative to the Planning Commission through January 31, 2018. The School District will recommend someone to be their new ex-officio member.
Resolution No. 2017-08, A Resolution Authorizing the Village Manager to Prepare and Submit a Letter of Interest to the Ohio Department of Transportation for Funding Through the Transportation Alternative Program for Pedestrian Improvements to the Newark-Granville Road/Jones Road Intersection, the West Broadway Mid-Block Crosswalk near Wildwood Park and Other Intersections as Specified
This resolution allows the Village Manager to submit a letter to request the opportunity to submit various crosswalk improvement projects to the ODOT Transportation Alternative Program for potential funding.
