At its regular meeting on September 5, 2018, the Granville Village Council held over the public hearing until September 19, 2018 at 7:30pm in the Granville Village Council Chambers, 141 East Broadway, for the following:
Ordinance No. 11-2018, An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 1191 Satellite Dish and Communication Towers for Communication Distribution Systems
This ordinance, if approved, would establish guidelines and requirements for small cell tower companies interested in installing facilities within public rights-of-way.
Ordinance No. 14-2018, An Ordinance Authorizing the Village Manager to Enter into an Annexation Agreement Describing the Intention of the Parties to Annex Certain Real Property Located Along Newark-Granville Road in Granville Township, Owned by S. R. Larsen, Trustee of the S. R. Larsen LTD. Profit Sharing Plan Trust
Gerry Bird approached the Village Council regarding annexation of 18.972 acres of land located on the south side of Newark-Granville Road. During the August 15, 2018 Council meeting, Mr. Bird presented a revised plan to the Village Council regarding his desire to annex this land to the Village for a residential development of thirty (30) single family, empty-nester homes. The Village Council indicated at that meeting they would be willing to consider annexation of this land. This request is the second attempt to annex this property into the Village.
