Notice of Public Hearing February 6, 2019

At its regular meeting on January 16, 2019, the Granville Village Council scheduled a hearing for February 6, 2019 at 7:30pm in the Granville Village Council Chambers, 141 East Broadway, for the following:

Ordinance No. 01-2019, An Ordinance  to Amend Ordinance No. 17-2018 Providing for Adjustments of the Annual Budget for the Fiscal Year 2019 and Revising Sums for Operating Expenses

This ordinance, if approved, would amend the 2019 budget to authorize the expenditure for annual wages and benefits increase for the FOP and non-bargaining employees, the purchase of a SCADA operating system for the water department and the purchase of a plotter for the planning department.

Ordinance No. 02-2019, An Ordinance Declaring the Improvement to Certain Real Property Within the Village of Granville, Ohio, to be a Public Purpose and Exempt from Real Property Taxes; Identifying Certain Public Infrastructure Improvements that, Once Made, Will Directly Benefit the Parcels; Requiring the Owners of Those Parcels to Make Service Payments in Lieu of Taxes; Establishing a Public Improvement Tax Increment Equivalent Fund and Related Authorizations

This ordinance, if approved, would establish a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) program to fund the extension of a sewer line, public pathway and possible westbound left-turn lane on Newark-Granville Road for a development project on the far east side of Granville.

All legislation is available for review at the Village Offices during regular business hours, which are normally 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Village Offices are located at 141 East Broadway.
