Notice of Public Hearing February 20, 2019

At its regular meeting on February 6, 2019, the Granville Village Council scheduled a hearing for February 20, 2019 at 7:30pm in the Granville Village Council Chambers, 141 East Broadway, for the following:

      Ordinance No. 23-2018, An Ordinance Approving an Application for the Annexation to the Village of Granville of Certain Real Properties Located at 1536 Newark-Granville Road, Totaling 18.8+/- Acres and 0.039+/- Acres

S. R. Larson, Trustee of the S. R. Larson Ltd. Profit Sharing Plan Trust, is the owner of approximately 18.8 and 0.039 +/-acres of land located on the south side of Newark-Granville Road at 1536 Newark-Granville Road in Granville Township.  He has requested annexation into the Village of Granville.  S. R. Larson, Trustee of the S. R. Larson Ltd. Profit Sharing Plan Trust prepared an Expedited Type II petition for the annexation of these 18.8 acres and related right-of-way along Newark-Granville Road.  The petition for annexation was approved by the Licking County Commissioners on and, following a mandatory 60-day waiting period, is ready for approval by the Village.  The property is contiguous to the Village, which is a pre-requisite to annexation.  This ordinance, if approved, would approve and accept that annexation request.

Ordinance No. 04-2019, An Ordinance Authorizing the Village Manager to Grant General Permits to Dawn Vujevic, Mark and Joyce Merrilees, Tracee Lang, Jocelyn Patterson, Christopher and Andrea Davis and Peter Russell/Meadow Tree Holdings, LTD. To License the Use of the Village Right-of-Way

Part of the process to receive the federal highway funds associated with the repaving of Cedar Street and Welsh Hills Road is a survey of the area to identify any encroachments in the rights-o- way and to resolve said encroachments.  This process has been completed and six minor encroachments have been identified.   This Ordinance would resolve those encroachments through a General Use Permit.  The permit allows the encroachments to remain, but identifies the encroachment and alerts the property owner that should those encroachments ever need to be removed, replacement of the encroachment would be at the property owners’ expense.

All legislation is available for review at the Village Offices during regular business hours, which are normally 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Village Offices are located at 141 East Broadway.
