The Granville Village Council adopted the following legislation at the March 20, 2019 regular meeting:
Ordinance No. 07-2019, An Ordinance to Authorize the Village Manager to Enter into a Lease Agreement with Reader’s Garden for the Lease of a Portion of Village hall, 143 East Broadway
This ordinance would authorize the Village Manager to enter into a lease agreement with Reader’s Garden for a portion of Village Hall. According to the Village Charter, any sale or lease of Village property requires an authorizing ordinance by Village Council. This lease is with a new owner, Kim Keethler Ball, but the terms of the lease agreement remain the same for a three-year period.
Ordinance No. 08-2019, An Ordinance to Amend Section 1189.05 of the Codified Ordinances of Granville, Ohio
This ordinance, if approved, would amend the Village sign code to permit identification signs on buildings in the Village Institutional District.
Resolution No. 2019-18, A Resolution to Permit the Demolition of a One-Story Garage at 328 East Elm Street
This resolution authorizes the demolition of a one-story garage at 328 East Elm Street. This application was reviewed and approved for demolition by the Planning Commission. The Granville Historical society also reviewed the application and found no historical value to the garage. The applicant proposed building a new garage on the existing area.
All legislation is available for review at the Village office during regular business hours, which are normally 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Village office is located at 141 East Broadway.
