BZBA Meeting Notice June 13, 2019

The Village of Granville Board of Zoning and Building Appeals will hear the following applications at its meeting on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Village Council Chambers, 141 East Broadway:

Note:  The applications listed under Old and New Business are “open to the public” but are "not public hearings.” The only individuals who are permitted to speak at this hearing are those individuals who are the actual “parties” to the matter. The following persons or their attorneys are considered to be parties: the applicant, the owner of the property that is the subject of the application, the owner of property that is adjacent or contiguous to that property that is the subject of the application, and any other person who claims that a direct, present injury or prejudice will occur to a personal property right if the application is approved or denied.

New Business:

Application #2019-054, submitted by Grant Stuller, for the property located at 2450 Newark-Granville Road. The request is for review and approval of a variance to increase the maximum allowable size of a second accessory structure from 144 square feet to 288 square feet. The property is zoned Suburban Residential District-A (SRD-A) and is located within the Transportation Corridor Overlay District (TCOD).

Application #2019-058, submitted by Jamie LeJeune, for the property located at 512 West Broadway. The request is for review and approval of three (3) variances: to reduce the side yard setback from the twelve (12’) feet to ten (10’), to reduce the total side yard setback from twenty-six (26’) feet to twenty (20’) feet, and to reduce the rear yard setback from forty (40’) feet to twenty-three (23’) feet. The property is zoned Suburban Residential District-B (SRD-B) and is located within the Transportation Corridor Overlay District (TCOD).

Application #2019-059, submitted by Elisabeth Gibson, for the property located at 195 Welsh Hills Road. The request is for review and approval of a variance to increase the maximum allowable height of a fence from six (6’) feet to ten (10’) feet. The property is zoned Suburban Residential District-A (SRD-A) and is located within the Transportation Corridor Overlay District (TCOD).

Application #2019-062, submitted by Don Haven, on behalf of First Presbyterian Church, for the property located at 110 West Broadway. The request is for review and approval of two (2) variances to reduce both the side yard and rear yard setbacks from the ten (10’) feet to five (5’) feet. The property is zoned Village Square District (VSD) and is located within the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).

Application #2019-063, submitted by Victor Terebuh, for the property located at 203 East Elm Street. The request is for review and approval of a variance to increase the maximum permitted lot coverage from fifty (50%) percent to fifty-nine (59%) percent. The property is zoned Village Residential District (VRD) and is located within the Architectural Review Overlay District (AROD).
