Granville Community Calendar

Adopted Legislation - April 20, 2011

The Granville Village Council adopted the following legislation at the April 20, 2011 regular meeting:

Ordinance No. 08-11, An Ordinance to Amend Ordinance No. 22-10 Providing for Adjustments of the Annual Budget for the Fiscal Year 2011 and Revising Sums for Operating Expenses for Repair of the Bryn Du Mansion Arch

This ordinance amends the annual budget to provide and appropriate funds to repair the Bryn Du Mansion arch.  The arch was damaged by a delivery truck in July of 2010.  After extensive negotiations and discussions, the insurance carrier for the driver of the truck has agreed to the Village’s estimate for repairs.  

Resolution No. 11-23, A Resolution Urging Granville Village Residents and Businesses to buy Local and Use Local Businesses and Services When Practical and Possible

This resolution expresses Village Council’s support to encourage residents and businesses to share in the effort to strengthen the community by buying locally and using local businesses and services when practicable and possible.  The Village of Granville intends to maximize the creation of jobs and help restore local economic growth and opportunity by purchasing budgeted Village goods and services when practical  and possible from local businesses that operate in the Village and Township.

Resolution No. 11-24, A Resolution to Authorize the Non-Permanent Installation of a Sidewalk Café on the Public Sidewalk at 122 East Broadway in Front of the Business Known as the Aladdin for Calendar Year 2011, Subject to Restrictions 

This resolution authorizes a sidewalk café to be located in front of the Aladdin at 122 East Broadway.  The authorization permits the sidewalk cafe through October 31, 2011, but can be extended by staff for an additional period of time provided that the extension does not go beyond December 31, 2011.  All conditions in the resolution are similar to those required for calendar year 2010.  A diagram has been attached to the resolution that shows where the café may be located, where sidewalk signage may be located, and where sidewalk access is to be maintained.     

Resolution No. 11-25, A Resolution to Establish the Annual Compensation Adjustment for Fiscal year 2011

This resolution provides a wage adjustment for non-union employees for 2011 retroactive to January 1, 2011.  No adjustment was given to the non-union employees in December or January.  The compensation adjustment would include up to a 3% increase for employees. 

All legislation is available for review at the Village Offices during regular business hours, which are normally 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Village Offices are located at 141 East Broadway.
