PUBLIC NOTICE OF LEGISLATION - VILLAGE OF GRANVILLE
The Granville Village Council adopted the following legislation at the November 16, 2011 regular meeting:
Ordinance No. 35-2011, An Ordinance to Amend Section 921.07 of the Codified Ordinances to Adjust Sewer Regulations and Charges
Ordinance No. 36-2011, An Ordinance to Amend Section 925.18 of the Codified Ordinances to Adjust Water Regulations and Charges
Based on an analysis of current insufficient fund balances of the water and sewer funds and anticipated expenditures for both operating and capital projects, Council approved a utility rate increase for both water and sewer rates for 2012 and 2013. These rates increases will be effective January 1, 2012 and will be reflected on bills effective March 1, 2012. Water rates will increase from the current rate of $3.55 per thousand gallons to $4.44 per thousand gallons. Sewer rates will increase from the current rate of $5.30 per thousand gallons to $5.96 per thousand gallons.
These ordinances also include a rate increase for 2013, effective for usage beginning November 1, 2012 and reflected on bills effective January 1, 2013. Water rates will increase from $4.44 per thousand gallons to $4.88 per thousand gallons. Sewer rates will increase from $5.96 per thousand gallons to $6.17 per thousand gallons.
Resolution No. 2011-56, A Resolution to Authorize the Village Manager to Sell Four Crouse Hinds Traffic Signals
This resolution will permit the sale of four Crouse Hinds traffic signals that the Village removed from use in 2005.
Resolution No. 2011-57, A Resolution to Establish the Time and Place of a Public Hearing for the 2012 Municipal Budget as Proposed by the Village Manager
Council moved to schedule the public hearing to take resident’s comments regarding the 2012 budget for Wednesday, December 7, 2011 beginning at 7:30pm.
Resolution No. 2011-58, A Resolution Authorizing the Law Director for the Village of Granville Not to Appeal the Decision of the Division of Liquor Control Regarding Permit #747891
Village Council elected not to pursue any further appeal of the liquor permit granted for 119 ½ South Prospect Street. The Division of Liquor Control determined that the Village’s appeal of the permit application did not provide sufficient evidence to deny the permit.
Resolution No. 2011-59, A Resolution to Express Appreciation to Lon Herman for Service on the Village Council and Service to the People of the Village of Granville
This resolution expresses the Village’s appreciation for Lon Herman’s service on Village Council from December, 1991 until December, 1993 and from December, 2003 to December 2011.
Resolution No. 2011-60, A Resolution to Express Appreciation to Steve Mershon for Service on the Village Council and Service to the People of the Village of Granville
This resolution expresses the Village’s appreciation for Steve Mershon’s service on Village Council from December, 2005 until December 2011.
