ODOT Announces State Route 37/661 Bridge Closure
near the Village of Granville

 

JACKSONTOWN (October 11, 2011) The Ohio Department of Transportation, District Five, today announced a closure of the SR 37/SR 661 bridge, near the Village of Granville in Licking County. 

Beginning Sunday, October 16, at 7:00 a.m., bridge repairs will close the SR 37/SR 661 bridge located just south of the Village of Granville. 

During the bridge closure, all entrance and exit ramps will be open for “right turn only” movements, but traffic will not be able to cross over SR 16.

The following detour routes will be posted:

  • The northbound SR 37/661 detour is via southbound SR 37, US 40, SR 79, and westbound SR 16 which will add approximately 23 miles to a motorist’s route. 
  • The southbound detour is via SR 661, westbound SR 16, the SR 16/37 interchange, and eastbound SR 16 back to southbound SR 37, which will add approximately nine miles to a motorist’s route. 

The SR 37/SR 661 bridge will reopen to traffic at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 21, weather permitting.
