Legislation Adopted April 16, 2014

The Granville Village Council adopted the following legislation at the April 16, 2014 regular meeting:

Resolution No. 2014-19, A Resolution to (Re)Appoint Members to the Bryn Du Commission

This resolution appoints Reed Fraley and Nate Willison as representatives to the Bryn Du Commission as appointees of the Granville Area Chamber of Commerce.  The terms of the current appointees (Reed Fraley and Kris Burkett) are scheduled to expire on April 30, 2014.   Reed Fraley indicated interest in continuing to serve on the Commission.  Kris Burkett asked to not be reappointed. The Chamber recommended that Reed Fraley and Nate Willison be appointed as their representatives to the Bryn Du Commission.

Resolution No. 2014-20, A Resolution to Fill a Vacancy on the Granville Arts Commission

This resolution appoints Jodi Melfi as the representative to the Granville Arts Commission as an appointee of the Granville Area Chamber of Commerce.  Mark Forman, the former Granville Area Chamber of Commerce representative to the Granville Arts Commission, resigned.  The Granville Area Chamber of Commerce selected Jodi Melfi as their new representative.

Resolution No. 2014-21, A Resolution to Appoint Members to the Municipal Board of Tax Review in Accordance with the Provisions of the Ohio Revised Code Section 718.11

This resolution appoints Gynna Meurer, Brady Burt and Doug Plunkett to the Village Board of Tax Review.  The Village is required by state statute to have a three-member Board of Tax Review.  The Village has not had an appeal filed over the past fifteen years.  This resolution appoints members to that Board, as no record of former membership is available.  Village code indicates that the Mayor is responsible for the selection of the members with Council approval.

All legislation is available for review at the Village Offices during regular business hours, which are normally 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Village Offices are located at 141 East Broadway.
