Legislation Adopted January 7, 2015

The Granville Village Council adopted the following legislation at the January 7, 2015 regular meeting:

Ordinance No. 18-2014, An Ordinance Authorizing the Village Manager to Grant a General Permit to Craig and Maureen Severson to License the Use of the Village Right-of-Way at 941 Newark-Granville Road

This ordinance grants Craig and Maureen Severson a permit for a low stone wall that would encroach onto Village the right-of-way at their home at 941 Newark-Granville Road.  The encroachment would be approximately six feet on to the Newark-Granville Road right-of-way.

Resolution No. 2015-01 , A Resolution Authorizing and Directing the Manager of the Village of Granville, Ohio, to Enter into an Agreement with the Bryn Du Commission

This resolution renews the existing agreement between the Bryn Du Commission and the Village of Granville for the day-to-day management and operations of the Bryn Du facility for one year.  The only change in the agreement is an increase in funding for operating expenses from $25,000 to $30,000.

Resolution No. 2015-02, A Resolution Authorizing the Village Manager to Advertise for Bids for Various Village Projects and Items Throughout 2015

This resolution requests Council’s permission to proceed with advertising for bids for items or projects for the entire year.  The Village complies with all local and state purchasing rules and regulations.  These projects and items were approved expenditures in the 2015 budget.  Providing staff with approval to advertise for bids with one resolution streamlines the bidding process and Council agendas.  The projects or items that need to go through the bid process for 2015 include street improvement project, purchase of new Village Hall windows and the purchase of water chemicals.

All legislation is available for review at the Village office during regular business hours, which are normally 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Village office is located at 141 East Broadway.
