The Granville Village Council adopted the following legislation at the June 3, 2015 regular meeting:
Resolution No. 2015-35, A Resolution Authorizing the Village Manager to Enter into an Agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation Regarding the Cherry Valley Interchange and Execute Contracts as Required
The purpose of this resolution is to authorize the Village Manager to sign a contract with the Ohio Department of Transportation, on behalf of the Village of Granville, for the construction of the Cherry Valley interchange and to authorize an invoice for the requested $250,000.00 in local match requirement. This project, PID #80704, is funded by ODOT, LCATS, the City of Newark and the Village of Granville.
Resolution No. 2015-36, A Resolution in Support of the Granville Township Fire Department’s Continued Use of the Property at 133 North Prospect Street
The Granville Township Trustees are evaluating the current fire department building, located on land owned by the Village at 133 North Prospect Street, to see if the service has outgrown the current facility. The Trustees have asked Village Council to respond to the question "Will Village Council consider extending the lease with the Township for 133 North Prospect Street for continued use as a fire facility?” This resolution allows support of such an extension of the lease, noting that the Township is the sole authority to determine fire service needs, recognizing that support of this resolution does not signify a Council preference as to locations for any future fire facility, noting that other developmental questions beyond the fire service requirements need to be answered for the site and suggesting that Village input be sought as the Township moves forward on the fire facility question.
All legislation is available for review at the Village office during regular business hours, which are normally 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Village office is located at 141 East Broadway.
