The Granville Village Council adopted the following legislation at the March 19, 2014 regular meeting:
Resolution No. 2014-18, A Resolution to Adopt the Updated Countywide All Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan (CANHMP) for Licking County, Ohio
The Village of Granville adopted the first Countywide All Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan (CANHMP) in 2003 in response to the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000. Adoption of a CANHMP plan addresses natural disasters that could affect a local community, including flooding, tornadoes, high winds, winter storms or some other disaster. By developing a mitigation plan, a community can identify their areas of risk, assess the magnitude of the risk, and develop strategies and priorities to identify projects for reducing risk. This resolution renews that plan.
All legislation is available for review at the Village Offices during regular business hours, which are normally 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Village Offices are located at 141 East Broadway.
