Granville Community Calendar

Legislation Adopted March 5, 2014

The Granville Village Council adopted the following legislation at the March 5, 2014 regular meeting: 

Resolution No. 2014-08, A Resolution to Award the Contract for the 2014 Street Improvement Project to Small’s Asphalt Paving, as per Specifications, and Authorize the Village Manager to Enter into an Agreement Therefor 

This resolution authorizes the Village Manager to enter into a contract with Small’s Asphalt Paving for the 2014 street improvement projects.  Small’s Asphalt Paving was the lowest and best bidder with a base bid of $202,979.766.  Small’s Asphalt Paving will mill and pave Wildwood Drive and New Burg Street.  

Resolution No. 2014-09, A Resolution to Award the Contract for the Water Treatment Plant Generator and Authorize the Village Manager to Enter into an Agreement for Said Project 

This resolution authorizes the Village Manager to enter into a contract with Claypool Electric to purchase and install a new generator for the water treatment plant.  Claypool Electric was the lowest and best bidder with a base bid of $140,000 and a scrap credit of $5,000. 

Resolution No. 2014-10, A Resolution to Authorize the Non-Permanent Installation of a Sidewalk Café on the Public Sidewalk at 122 East Broadway in Front of the Business Known as the “Aladdin” for Calendar Year 2014, Subject to Restrictions 

This resolution authorizes a sidewalk café to be located in front of the Aladdin at 122 East Broadway.  The authorization permits the sidewalk cafe through October 31, 2014, but can be extended by the Village Manager for a date to be determined.  All conditions in the resolution are similar to those required for calendar year 2013.  A diagram has been attached to the resolution that shows where the café may be located, where sidewalk signage may be located, and where sidewalk access is to be maintained.     

Resolution No. 2014-11, A Resolution to Authorize the Non-Permanent Installation of a Sidewalk Café on the Public Sidewalk at 126 East Broadway in Front of the Business Known as the “Broadway Pub” for the Calendar Year 2014 Subject to Restrictions 

This resolution authorizes a sidewalk café to be located in front of the Broadway Pub at 126 East Broadway.  The authorization permits the sidewalk cafe through October 31, 2014 but can be extended by the Village Manager for a date to be determined.  All conditions in the resolution are similar to those required for calendar year 2013.  A diagram has been attached to the resolution that shows where the café may be located, where sidewalk signage may be located, and where sidewalk access is to be maintained.    

Resolution No. 2014-12, A Resolution to Authorize the Non-Permanent Installation of a Sidewalk Café on the Public Sidewalk at 128 East Broadway in Front of the Business Known as the “Moe’s Barbeque” for the Calendar Year 2014, Subject to Restrictions 

This resolution authorizes a sidewalk café to be located in front of the Moe’s Barbeque at 128 East Broadway.  The authorization permits the sidewalk cafe through October 31, 2014, but can be extended by the Village Manager for a date to be determined.  All conditions in the resolution are similar to those required for other café seating.  A diagram has been attached to the resolution that shows where the café may be located, where sidewalk signage may be located, and where sidewalk access is to be maintained.     

Resolution No. 2014-13, A Resolution to Authorize the Non-Permanent Installation of a Sidewalk Café on the Public Sidewalk at 132 East Broadway in Front of the Business Known as the “Village Coffee Company” for the Calendar Year 2014, Subject to Restrictions 

This resolution authorizes a sidewalk café to be located in front of the Village Coffee Company at 132 East Broadway.  The authorization permits the sidewalk cafe through October 31, 2014, but can be extended by the Village Manager for a date to be determined.  All conditions in the resolution are similar to those required for calendar year 2013.  A diagram has been attached to the resolution that shows where the café may be located, where sidewalk signage may be located, and where sidewalk access is to be maintained.    

Resolution No. 2014-14, A Resolution to Authorize the Non-Permanent Installation of a Sidewalk Café on the Public Sidewalk at 134 East Broadway in Front of the Business Known as the “Day Y Noche” for the Calendar Year 2014, Subject to Restrictions 

This resolution authorizes a sidewalk café to be located in front of the Day Y Noche at 134 East Broadway.  The authorization permits the sidewalk cafe through October 31, 2014, but can be extended by the Village Manager for a date to be determined.  All conditions in the resolution are similar to those required for calendar year 2013.  A diagram has been attached to the resolution that shows where the café may be located, where sidewalk signage may be located, and where sidewalk access is to be maintained.     

Resolution No. 2014-15, A Resolution to Authorize the Non-Permanent Installation of a Sidewalk Café on the Public Sidewalk at 138 East Broadway in Front of the Business Known as the “Whit’s Frozen Custard” for the Calendar Year 2014, Subject to Restrictions 

This resolution authorizes a sidewalk café to be located in front of the Whit’s Frozen Custard at 138 East Broadway.  The authorization permits the sidewalk cafe through October 31, 2014, but can be extended by the Village Manager for a date to be determined.  All conditions in the resolution are similar to those required for calendar year 2013.  A diagram has been attached to the resolution that shows where the café may be located, where sidewalk signage may be located, and where sidewalk access is to be maintained.     

Resolution No. 2014-16, A Resolution to Authorize the Non-Permanent Installation of a Sidewalk Café on the Public Sidewalk at 127 East Broadway in Front of the Business Known as the “Dragon Village” for the Calendar Year 2014, Subject to Restrictions 

This resolution authorizes a sidewalk café to be located in front of the Dragon Village at 127 East Broadway.  The authorization permits the sidewalk cafe through October 31, 2014, but can be extended by the Village Manager for a date to be determined.  All conditions in the resolution are similar to those required for calendar year 2013.  A diagram has been attached to the resolution that shows where the café may be located, where sidewalk signage may be located, and where sidewalk access is to be maintained.     

Resolution No. 2014-17, A Resolution Supporting Denison University in its Efforts to Obtain State of Ohio Historic Preservation Tax Credits for the Redevelopment of Property Located at 314 East Broadway in the Village of Granville                    

This resolution expresses Village Council’s support for the request from Denison University for their Ohio Historic Tax Credit application for 314 East Broadway, the Granville Inn.  Denison University currently owns this property.  The tax credits would be used for the proposed renovation of said property.  

All legislation is available for review at the Village Offices during regular business hours, which are normally 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Village Offices are located at 141 East Broadway.
