The Joint Cemetery Board comprised of the Granville Township Trustees and the Granville Village Council adopted the following legislation during the May 2, 2012 annual meeting:
Resolution No. 2012-29, A Resolution to Express Appreciation to Robert Drake for Service on the Union Cemetery Board
This resolution thanks Robert Drake for his service on the Union Cemetery Board. Mr. Drake served on the Board from March 16, 2006 until May 31, 2012.
Resolution No. 2012-30, A Resolution to Appoint a Member to the Union Cemetery Board of Trustees
This resolution appoints Lyn Boone as the community representative to the Union Cemetery Board. Lyn Boone is replacing Robert Drake, whose term on the Board expired on May 31, 2012. Lyn Boone’s term will expire on May 31, 2015.
Resolution No. 2012-31, A Resolution to Declare, with the Granville Township Trustees, that Operation and Maintenance of the Union Cemetery, Under the Provisions of Section 759.27 of the Ohio Revised Code, Shall Continue
This resolution continues the operation of the Old Colony burying Ground as a Union Cemetery for an additional year. The resolution also appoints Township Trustee Paul Jenks as the Township representative to the Union Cemetery Board. Township Trustee Paul Jenks is replacing former Township Trustee Fred Abraham, whose term on the Board expired on May 31, 2011. Township Trustee Paul Jenks term will expire on May 31, 2014.
The Granville Village Council adopted the following legislation at the May 2, 2012 regular meeting:
Resolution No. 2012-27, A Resolution to Establish a Pay Grade Position for Utilities Director as Recommended by the Village Manager
This resolution will permit the hiring of a Utility Director to provide direct, daily oversight of the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and a general overview of the water treatment plant (WTP) operations including all pipes, pumps, towers, etc. A qualified Utility Director would provide the necessary administrative and technical supervision for these complex utilities. There are many large-scale water and wastewater activities on the immediate horizon for these older facilities. Proper coordination of both operations is necessary. This action is the re=establishment of a former organizational chart used by the Village in the 1990s.
All legislation is available for review at the Village Offices during regular business hours, which are normally 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Village Offices are located at 141 East Broadway.
