Legislation Adopted November 5, 2014

The Granville Village Council adopted the following legislation at the November 5, 2014 regular meeting:

 Resolution No. 2014-34, A Resolution to Support the Update of the Coshocton-Fairfield-Licking-Perry Solid Waste District Management Plan

This resolution has been requested by the Coshocton, Fairfield, Licking and Perry Solid Waste District for the approval of the update to the District’s management plan.   The Solid Waste District’s Policy Committee approved the updates that are summarized on the attached sheet after receiving public comment at multiple hearings.  In order for the changes to be approved, these updates must be ratified by townships and municipalities representing 60% of the District’s population.  Once ratified locally, the plan will be sent to the Ohio EPA for their review and approval.  

Resolution No. 2013-35, A Resolution to Establish the Time and Place of a Public Hearing for the 2015 Municipal Budget as Proposed by the Village Manager

Section 6.06 of the Village Charter requires Council to set a date and time for the public hearing of the budget.  Budget hearing Resolution No. 2014-35 would schedule a public hearing to review the 2015 budget for Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 7:30pm.  The 2015 budget ordinance will be introduced at the November 19, 2014 Council meeting. 

Resolution No. 2014-36, A Resolution to Permit the Demolition of a Single Family Structure, Detached Garage and Accessory Structures at 1508 Cherry Valley Road

This resolution would authorize the demolition of the single family structure, detached garage and accessory structures at 1508 Cherry Valley Road.  This application is submitted by the state of Ohio to remove structures for the Cherry Valley Road interchange.  This application was reviewed by the Village Manager.  The Granville Historical Society has indicated that the house has no historic value and does not object to the demolition. 

Resolution No. 2014-37, A Resolution to Permit the Demolition of a Single Family Structure and Detached Garage at 2665 Newark-Granville Road

This resolution would authorize the demolition of the single family structure and detached garage at 2665 Newark-Granville.  This application is submitted by the state of Ohio to remove a structure for the Cherry Valley Road interchange.  This application was reviewed by the Village Manager.  The Granville Historical Society has indicated that the house has no historic value and does not object to the demolition. 

All legislation is available for review at the Village Offices during regular business hours, which are normally 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Village Offices are located at 141 East Broadway.
