The Granville Village Council adopted the following legislation at the October 16, 2013 regular meeting:
Ordinance No. 20-2013, An Ordinance Authorizing a Petition to the Licking County Commissioners for a Change of Township Lines Pursuant to Section 503.07 of the Ohio Revised Code
This Ordinance accepts a sewer line installed by Kendal at Granville in 2006. Kendal completed the installation of a sewer line from the Village limits to their facility, but the line was never accepted by the Village. A normal process would be for a developer to install infrastructure improvements and, at the completion of the installation; a municipality would inspect the installation, approve and accept the improvements as part of the municipal infrastructure. The Village would then be responsible for the maintenance of those improvements. However, the acceptance of this line by the Village was delayed.
Resolution No. 2013-52, A Resolution to Appoint a Member to the Planning Commission Representing the Board of the Granville Exempted Village School District
This resolution approves the Granville School District Board of Education appointment of Dennis Cauchon as the School District’s ex-officio member to the Village Planning Commission. With this appointment, Mr. Cauchon begins service on the Planning Commission with the October 28, 2013 meeting.
Resolution No. 2013-53, A Resolution of Appreciation to the Members of the Tree Trimming Commission
In April of 2011, Village Council appointed members to the Tree Trimming Committee. The Committee was directed to find possible alternatives to the current tree trimming practices performed by Asplundh Tree Service on behalf of the American Electric Power Company within the Village and Township. This resolution expresses Council’s appreciation for their work.
All legislation is available for review at the Village Offices during regular business hours, which are normally 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Village Offices are located at 141 East Broadway.
