The Granville Village Council adopted the following legislation at the October 17, 2012 regular meeting:
Ordinance No. 20-2012, An Ordinance to Authorize the Village Manager to Enter into a Lease Agreement with Readers’ Garden for the Lease of a Portion of Village Hall, 141 East Broadway
The ordinance renews the lease between the Village of Granville and Readers’ Garden. In 2000, the Village and the owners of Readers’ Garden entered into a five-year lease for retail space on the first floor of Village Hall. This lease was renewed in 2005 for five years and expired in 2010. The proposed lease between Readers’ Garden and the Village of Granville will be a 39-month lease beginning October 1, 2012 and ending December 31, 2015. Several items in the lease were changed including the elimination of the annul cost-of-living increases, the flat monthly rent of $1013 was reduced to $950, Readers’ Garden will continue to pay the property taxes on their portion of the building and the five-year lease extension paragraph was removed.
Resolution No. 2012-47, A Resolution to Establish the Time and Place of a Public Hearing for the 2013 Municipal Budget as Proposed by the Village Manager
Section 6.06 of the Village Charter requires Council to set a date and time for the public hearing of the budget. Budget hearing Resolution 2012-47 schedules a public hearing to review the 2013 budget on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 7:30pm. The budget Ordinance will be introduced at the November 7, 2012 Council meeting.
All legislation is available for review at the Village Offices during regular business hours, which are normally 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Village Offices are located at 141 East Broadway.
