Legislation Adopted October 3, 2012

The Granville Village Council adopted the following legislation at the October 3, 2012 regular meeting:

Resolution No. 2012-44, A Resolution to Award the Contract for the Purchase of Water Treatment Chemicals to Mid-Ohio Valley Lime, Inc. 

This resolution awards the contract for the purchase of water treatment chemicals (lime) during 2013 to Mid-Ohio Valley Lime, Inc.  Four bids were received.  Mid-Ohio Valley Lime was the low bidder at $137.00 per ton. The other bids ranged from $174.20 per ton to $193.80 per ton. (Previous contract prices were $135.00 per ton in 2012, $130.00 per ton in 2011 and $125.00 per ton in 2009.)      

Resolution No. 2012-45, A Resolution in Support of an Increase in Financial Support for the Planned Construction of a New State Route 16 and Cherry Valley Interchange 

This resolution authorizes the Village staff to advise the Ohio Department of Transportation of the Village’s willingness to provide additional funding for the proposed State Route 16 / Cherry Valley interchange up to $250,000.  

Resolution No. 2012-46, A Resolution Authorizing the Village Manager to Prepare and Submit an Application to Participate in the Ohio Public Works Commission State Capital Improvement Program, and Execute Contracts as Required 

This resolution authorizes the Village Manager to submit an Ohio Public Works Commission application to the District 17 Integrating Committee on behalf of the Village of Granville for resurfacing East and West Broadway and Newark-Granville Road.  This application is for a request in funding to cover the portion of the roadway resurfacing project not covered by LCATS/ODOT.  This application would request $250,000.00 in grant funding and $457,775.00 in loan funding.  If the Village receives loan funding through this application; the loan would be at 0% interest for up to 20 years and there would be no penalty for early repayment of the loan.  With or without OPWC support, the Village would also be responsible for 100% of the engineering design costs at approximately $48,980.00.  

All legislation is available for review at the Village Offices during regular business hours, which are normally 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Village Offices are located at 141 East Broadway.
