The Granville Village Council adopted the following legislation at the O regular meeting:
Ordinance No. 11-2015, An Ordinance Authorizing the Village Manager to Grant a General Permit to 133 South Prospect Street, LLC to License the Use of the Village Right-of-Way at 133 South Prospect Street
This Ordinance grants Mary and Bill Hoekstra on behalf of 133 South Prospect Street, LLC a permit to remove an existing brick wall and replace it with a sandstone wall that encroaches onto Village right-of-way at the business known as McPeek-Hoekstra Funeral Home at 133 South Prospect Street. The encroachment would be approximately six hundred and seventy-two square feet (672 sq. ft.) onto the East Elm Street right-of-way.
Resolution No. 2015-48, A Resolution to Establish the Time and Place of a Public Hearing for the 2016 Municipal Budget as Proposed by the Village Manager
Section 6.06 of the Village Charter requires Council to set a date and time for the public hearing of the budget. Budget hearing Resolution No. 2015-48 would schedule a public hearing to review the 2016 budget for Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 7:30pm. The 2016 budget ordinance will be introduced at the October 21, 2015 Council meeting.
Ordinance No. 10-2015, An Ordinance to Establish Chapter 523 Property Maintenance Code of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Granville, Ohio
Village staff was asked to prepare a draft Property Maintenance Code for review by the Village Council, in response to residents’ concerns regarding the maintenance of structures within the Village. This Ordinance was voted down by Council unanimously.All legislation is available for review at the Village Offices during regular business hours, which are normally 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Village Offices are located at 141 East Broadway.
