NOTICE OF APPEAL HEARING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
At its regular meeting on August 1, 2012, the Granville Village Council scheduled a hearing for August 15, 2012 at 7:30pm in the Granville Village Council Chambers, 141 East Broadway, for the following:
Appeal of Decision by Granville Board of Zoning and Building Appeals To Appeal Remanded Application #2012-34, for a Variance for a Lot-Split by Terra Nova LLC for 198 Welsh Hills Road
According to Section 1137.01(i) of the Codified Ordinances of the Village, this appeal hearing is “open to the public” but it is “not [a] public hearing.” The only individuals permitted to speak at the appeal hearing are those individuals who are the actual “parties” to the appeal. The appeal hearing may not be fully concluded on the night of September 5th, and may have to be extended to a later date. Following the conclusion of the hearing, the Council must announce its decision not later than the next regularly scheduled meeting. Within forty-five days, the Council must formalize its decision in writing including the decision findings and the conclusions of fact.
