The Granville Village Council will hear the following legislation at its meeting on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. in the Village Council Chambers, 141 East Broadway:
Ordinance No. 15-2014, An Ordinance to Amend Section 1159.02 of the Codified Ordinances of the Village of Granville Pertaining to Conditional Use and Two-Family Housing
This Ordinance would amend Village Code Section 1159.02 to change the category of “non-profit educational, civic, religious, and social uses which serve and are compatible with other permitted uses in the district from a permitted use to a conditional use. It would also permit two-family residential as a conditional use category in the Village Business District (VBD). Two-family units would not be permitted in an area designated as the core business district.
Ordinance No. 16-2014, An Ordinance to Make Appropriations for Current Expenses and Other Expenditures of the Village of Granville, State of Ohio, During the Fiscal Year Ending December 31, 2015
This ordinance would establish the appropriations for the Village operations and capital improvement projects for 2015.
Ordinance No. 17-2014, An Ordinance to Amend Section 513.03 (c) of the Codified Ordinances of Granville, Ohio Pertaining to Drug Abuse, Possession or Use
This Ordinance would amend Section 513.03 (c) of the Village Code pertaining to the possession of a controlled substance, specifically marijuana. The penalty currently for the possession of marijuana is a third degree misdemeanor. The amendment would make the Code consistent with other portions of the Code and the Ohio Revised Code with a sliding penalty based on the amount of marijuana possessed.
