At its regular meeting on February 4, 2014, the Granville Village Council scheduled a hearing for February 18, 2015 at 7:30pm in the Granville Village Council Chambers, 141 East Broadway, for the following:
Ordinance No. 01-2015, An Ordinance to Authorize the Village Manager to Enter into a Lease Agreement with the Granville Studio of Visual Arts for the Lease of the Terrace House at Bryn Du, 537 Jones Road
This ordinance would renew the lease between the Granville Studio of Visual Arts and the Village of Granville, with the Bryn Du Commission acting as agent. This lease document has been reviewed by Bryn Du Commission Chair Candi Moore, GSVA Director Lee Ann Faler and the Village Manager. The lease, as updated, is relatively unchanged from the previous lease. Those small changes are as follows:
- The time frame of the lease has been rolled forward three years.
- Recognizing the current rental market and the investments made by the GSVA, the monthly rental rate was modified slightly.
As with the previous lease, the rent payments from GSVA are made to the Bryn Du Commission.
The lease has been reviewed by various staff members. There are no reasons to not move forward with renewing the lease. The GSVA continues to maintain a dynamic program for residents and visitors, has been recognized nationally and has received many grants and awards documenting their valuable contribution to the arts.
All legislation is available for review at the Village Offices during regular business hours, which are normally 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Village Offices are located at 141 East Broadway.
