VILLAGE OF GRANVILLE - NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
At its regular meeting on December 21, 2011, the Granville Village Council scheduled a public hearing and request for public comment on January 4, 2012 at 7:30pm in the Granville Village Council Chambers, 141 East Broadway, for the following:
Resolution No. 02-2012, A Resolution to Permit the Demolition of a Garage at 102 Miller Avenue
This resolution would authorize the demolition of an existing garage at 102 Miller Avenue in order for a new accessory structure to be constructed in the same location. The Village Manager has reviewed the request for the demolition of the structure and has recommended that it be approved. The Granville Historical Society has viewed the current building and finds no historic value and has no objection to granting the demolition permit.
Ordinance No. 40-2011, An Ordinance to Authorize the Village Manager to Enter into a Lease Agreement with the Granville Studio of Visual Arts for the Lease of the Terrace House at Bryn Du, 537 Jones, Road, for a Term of Three Years
This ordinance authorizes the Village Manager to enter into a lease agreement for the Terrace House, located behind the Bryn Du Mansion, with the Granville Studio of Visual Arts. According to the Village Charter, any sale or lease of Village property requires an authorizing ordinance by Village Council. The lease is between the Granville Studio of Visual Arts and the Village of Granville, with the Bryn Du Commission acting as agent.
All legislation is available for review at the Village Offices during regular business hours, which are normally 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Village Offices are located at 141 East Broadway.
