At its regular meeting on May 16, 2012, the Granville Village Council scheduled a hearing for June 20, 2012 at 7:30pm in the Granville Village Council Chambers, 141 East Broadway, for the following:
Appeal of Decision by Granville Planning Commission To Appeal Application #2012-32, for a Six-Foot Wooden Fence Submitted by Barbara Franks and Dan Rogers for a Property at 121 South Prospect Street
According to Section 1137.01(i) of the Codified Ordinances of the Village, this appeal hearing is “open to the public” but it is “not [a] public hearing.” The only individuals permitted to speak at the appeal hearing are those individuals who are the actual “parties” to the appeal. The appeal hearing may not be fully concluded on the night of June 20th, and may have to be extended to a later date. Following the conclusion of the hearing, the Council must announce its decision not later than the next regularly scheduled meeting. Within forty-five days, the Council must formalize its decision in writing including the decision findings and the conclusions of fact.
At its regular meeting on June 6, 2012, the Granville Village Council scheduled a public hearing and request for public comment for June 20, 2012 at 7:30pm in the Granville Village Council Chambers, 141 East Broadway, for the following:
Ordinance No. 09-2012, An Ordinance to Revise the Codified Ordinances by Adopting Current Replacement Pages
This ordinance would codify the annual update to the Village Codified ordinances as prepared by the Walter Drane Company, a legal publishing company. The annual update includes those changes to the Village Code that have been adopted by the Council since the last update as well as statewide changes to the Ohio Revised Code that should be incorporated into our Village Code.
All legislation is available for review at the Village Offices during regular business hours, which are normally 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. The Village Offices are located at 141 East Broadway.
